Community Presbyterian Church
|
|
Community Presbyterian Church is located three blocks from the ocean, in the suburban, Our sanctuary is of a traditional design built in 1939, expanded in 1988, and was further renovated in 2002! The sanctuary is now ready to serve us for another 60 years. For many members and visitors our simple sanctuary has a warm, unintimidating, peaceful appeal. Its simple lines are accented by the colorful stained glass windows, which depict the life of Christ. The Fellowship Hall is the hub of our congregational life together, housing weekly coffee and donut hour between morning services, monthly fellowship dinners, and varieties of additional church and outside activities. A new fellowship hall will be under construction beginning in June of 2006. Our weekday preschool meets next door to Fellowship Hall, and houses children age 3 - kindergarten. Our education building is the center of our Sunday morning adult and children's classes. We have a very active youth program, meeting on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the year. The youth wing is located north of the sanctuary and provides a welcome "hang-out" with a pool table, TV, computer, games, and other amenities the youth have added to their decor! |
